Sunday, September 4, 2016 – Sunday afternoon we decided to do some exploring. The map of our RV resort shows a back way to an area known as Barefoot Landing here in Myrtle Beach, SC. We set out exploring our park and Barefoot Landing.
Barefoot Landing is North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina’s premier waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment destination As their website says:
Set along the Intracoastal Waterway and featuring a 27 acre lake, Barefoot Landing combines breathtaking scenery with an outstanding selection of places to enjoy day and night. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a quaint Southern shopping village.
It was beautiful and sunny out today and we certainly got in some great exercising walking around the whole place. I did some granddaughter shopping and found a cool Myrtle Beach refrigerator magnet. I have a magnet from every big place we’ve visited. When we are off the road I look at the magnets and remember all the places we’ve seen.
Here are some photos from along the way to Barefoot Landing and while walking around inside it! They are not clickable to enlarge except the one above on the left.

The residents who live here have these cool little homes.

I really like this set up next to their RV. Hoping Roy can do something like this for us when we get back home to Amite, LA!

Humongous fish in the waters of Barefoot Landing

You could buy fish food here on the walkway

The 7D Movie we saw. So many creatures poked us everywhere and blew air and water over us with our seats rocking all around experiencing everything the movie was doing!

The cool misting area we always love to come across. Oddly enough no one as sitting by it. I stood next to it a while and it was quite nice!

The stores and restaurants around the waterways

We are silly children as often as we can get away ith it!

Roy’s had his crocs for almost 10 years and the bottoms were slick making them dangerous for him to wear many places we explore. Found a shop today with his size and a good color so here’s his new crocs!!

Beautiful boats lined the waterways and were cruising down the waterways as we strolled by.

That brings us back to our RV where we’re settled down for the evening. Roy boiled some store bought peanuts and we’re enjoying those and watermelon this Sunday evening! We haven’t made any plans for this second week here except that on Tuesday we will be spending the day at a local Allison Transmission service center having Dora’s transmission checked out and worked on.
Roy replaced our external surge protector with a built in surge protector yesterday. He’s going to write about that soon, I hope!
Ya’ll come back now, ya’ hear!
