12.27.23 Resurrection Trini-TEA!

On April 2, 2023, the ladies of Trinity Baptist and several of their friends were treated to an amazing time together that included food, fellowship with other Christian women, singing of praises to our Lord, and listening to the testimony of Mrs. Sandra Bailey-Simmons, and beautiful singing by Crystal Edgerton. God was right there in the middle of all of it and I believe we all left there changed and were honored to participate in this event.

Every table was decorated by a different lady using her china and a beautiful centerpiece. Each one was very different from the others. Check out all the beautiful aspects of each table. Click on the first one and then click on the right to go from table to table!

The little girls’ table was quite special. It was little girl height so they could sit in their smaller chairs. I’m pretty sure these little girls, and the others who joined them will never forget this experience!

It is now almost Christmas 2023 and I am finally wrapping this post up. It’s been fun to now look back at the event and remember what a God-filled time it was.

Thanks so much to Lisa Watts, Lauren Weeg, and Elaine Taylor for heading up this time of fellowship we all enjoyed so much!

I absolutely L♥️VE a tea! It reminds me of weekends spent with my grandmother when we always had a pot of tea and a Maria biscuit (cookie) after her afternoon nap. ☕️🫖☕️

To help plan this church tea, which turned into a much larger event than I ever imagined, was truly a blessing for my heart and soul. At times, the planning and logistics leading up to this was emotionally draining. But God provides his mercy and faithfulness every morning. I always woke up refreshed and ready to go again. Though no event is ever without its would’ve or could’ves, I think (hope) that God was glorified through our tea- our worship, our speaker’s message, and the wonderful women who were in attendance. Thank you again to all of the women (and men) that were even a tiny part of helping everything fall into place! You did not go unnoticed! 💕🙏🏼💕

Lisa Watt’s comments about the Tea:

The Ladies Spring/Resurrection Trini-TEA yesterday at Trinity Baptist Church was amazing! It was a lot of work and turned into something bigger and better than we ever imagined! A huge thanks to Lauren Weeg and all the ladies of Trinity who participated in any way. Thank you is not enough. All of the tables were absolutely beautiful and so unique.

I know I felt God move in that gym yesterday with the fellowship and the beautiful music by the Trinity Girls Choir and Courtney Jones.

Mrs. Crystal Edgerton blessed us with her gorgeous voice and two beautiful songs! Mrs. Sandra Bailey-Simmons brought an amazing message! As I looked around that gym while she was speaking she had the attention of every woman and child in that room. No one was texting or playing on their phones either.

Planning this was a lot of work and a lot of fun! At times it was overwhelming, because we had hiccups, and more people than we ever imagined, but that’s a good thing! God provided everything and everyone we needed at just the right time.

I know I left refreshed and blessed yesterday to enter this week before Easter, and I hope and pray that every woman and child that was there did the same.

“He has made everything beautiful in His time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11

Personal Note: I am thankful that God has put women in my life with the talent and love for us ladies and our God. They have talents I could never dream of having. Our church is blessed by their presence and their ability to put a smile on our hearts!
