Kendal and I recently discovered the Swamp Monster Restaurant in Franklinton, Louisiana at 913 Washington Street. Kendal’s brother Oliver is a serious Bigfoot believer, so we wanted to check this one out!

The Swamp Monster Restaurant has many over-the-top swamp decorations and fun memorabilia. The food is delicious, featuring standout dishes like the roast beef po-boy, which includes tender and flavorful roast beef served on classic French bread. Someone at the table near us had one, and I drooled! The staff is extremely friendly, offering wonderful service and making guests feel at home. I’ve heard that the bread pudding is mouthwatering, infused with fruit and a hint of cobbler. We were too full to try it, but next time…!
First of all, the food was excellent! We had two Cajun Shrimp Cigars with three different sauces to dip them in, Shrimp and Corn Bisque, and Gumbo. The young waitress was very helpful, providing us with detailed descriptions of each dish. We were served very quickly and enjoyed every bite and spoonful!

Since Oliver is a Big Foot believer, we plan to bring he and his wife there to eat soon. Here are some of the interior and exterior photos I took during our visit! Even the bathroom hallway had cute Big Foot signs! Click on the first picture and scroll to the right through the rest of them.

Antonio is the owner and here he is with Big Foot!

Antonio welcomed us and checked on us which was very much appreciated! When I told him I planned to write a blog post about our visit there he gave me a door hanger with Big Foot on one side! I hung it outside and we are enjoying it!

This unique dining experience is a must-try, showcasing terrific atmosphere, hospitality, and food that will leave you wanting more. And you never know when the big guy might show up for a visit!!!!
Ya’ll come back now, ya’ hear!
