With the house sold and the RV purchase in progress, we needed to secure a site at the RV park in Livingston.1
Kendal lived there for seven years after Katrina and then moved back there the year before we started dating. He knows the park well, and we both knew it was where we wanted to move to.
We’ve driven to the park a couple of times and looked all over for sites we would consider for our future home. Last Monday, we did that again and picked a few we liked, but two that we really liked. We visited the Park office to finalize our reservation and found that our number one choice had become available the day before. And it would be available when the act of sale is scheduled on the 29th, so we paid the deposit and it’s ours!
Can you see how happy we were! That’s us at our site after we found out it was ours.

These first photos are of our site

There are RV sites to the right and to the left of ours, so it’s not all spaciously open. The one to the left is another Montana! The one to the right is an Alabama fan, so we’ll have to deal with that! I introduced myself to the husband, who had on an Alabama t-shirt and had a concrete elephant with an Alabama logo on it, so they are pretty serious! He did seem very nice. The first thing I told him was that we are LSU fans! We’ll see how that friendship goes!!
This video is what our view will be from our living room window.
These photos are from around the park! There is a game room where Kendal and I will be spending a lot of time, hahaha! An adult gathering room, a really nice office with a small store in it, a doggie park for Buddy, a swimming pool, a kids’ playground, the beautiful 17-acre lake, and more!

That wraps up our account of each step we’ve taken in this latest adventure in our lives. We had our final yard sale on Friday. Not a huge financial success, but we made some new friends and enjoyed visiting with the people who came to the sale! I also got to spend time with my dear friend Cindy Vernon, whom I will miss terribly when we move.

Saturday, everything was slashed to a much lower price of FREE! Even though it doesn’t make me any money, I love giving things away.
We had a delightful visit on Saturday with the buyers of our home. I loved seeing how excited they are and hearing all the plans they have!
And now we hope to move in just a few days and begin living at Lakeside RV Park!
Yall come back now, ya hear!
