02.17.26 Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade at the Park

Have I said recently how much we love living at Lakeside RV Park??? Well, once again we had a wonderful day here, this time riding in the RV Park’s Mardi Gras parade in our golf cart decorated for the occasion. There are a couple of pics of our cart below. One of our friends Cheryl rode with us in our golf cart.

Buddy was so excited about the upcoming event that he talked us into getting him groomed. He also requested his own Mardi Gras attire in the form of a feathery boa in purple, green and gold!

Several Mardi Gras decorated golf carts and bicycles made our way down the streets in the park throwing beads and lots of throws! Kendal’s grandkids and a friend from church donated their Mardi Gras goodies to us to throw! Kendal, Buddy, Cheryl and myself had so much fun throwing all of the goodies!

All of the golf carts looked amazing and the Park’s guests that attended loved catching the throws and beads! Seeing such happy smiles on the kiddo’s faces made all of us riders so happy! We can’t wait till next Mardi Gras to do it again! This is our golf cart ready to roll!

The weather was beautiful and we all had a ton of fun. Being outside in the fresh air and sunshine was much needed after all of these unusually cold days that we’ve had to stay inside. We especially enjoyed having Cheryl ride with us and getting to know her better!

These photos were taken by Sue, Rosemary, Donna and little ole’ me. They are mostly from when we were lining up, because once it began we were so busy throwing beads and other goodies that there wasn’t even a thought given to taking a picture!!!!!

After the parade was a Valentine’s potluck dinner in the Pavillion. My son Chad’s wife Amy and oldest daughter Ella are in Mexico on a mission trip so Dad’s in charge back home and he brought Gracie, Caroline and Jacob to eat and play. I brought sweet potato crunch casserole and a blueberry King Cake to the potluck.

After we were quite full from all the delicious food and desserts, we played Bingo. None of our gang won a game but Kendal won one of the door prizes which was a nice, insulated Happy Camper mug, a bag of heart shaped chocolates (that Kendal gave go our grandkids to enjoy) and two really fancy delicious cupcakes!!

Just like with the first group of photos click on the first photo to enlarge it. You will be able to go from one photo to the next using the right arrow!

That’s it for the first annual Lakeside RV Park Mardi Grs parade!

Ya’ll come back now, ya’ hear!!
