02.02.15 Plumbing Monday!

Monday, February 2, 2015 - I love waking up to the sounds of construction work going on at our new house.  Our Plumber, C. Dan Wrinkles was here bright and early putting all our plumbing rough-ins in.  His son Hunter was with him shadowing his dad's work today for school.  He was a very good… Continue reading 02.02.15 Plumbing Monday!

Friday, January 30, 2015 - Yesterday evening Roy and I enjoyed a major bonfire burning everything we could burn.   I have to share these precious picture with ya'll.  Our granddaughter Madisyn dressed up as a Grannie for the 100th day of school.  Her outfit reminds me so much of what my mama always wore… Continue reading 01.31.15 Electrical, outside lumber clean up, return air space and Grannie Madisyn

01.28.15 K-LOVE, framers and wrong windows!

Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - A  nice lady who follows our blog thanked me for including the words to "You are my all in all" in the blog.  She said she needed a pick me up and that it made her day.  I was so happy to hear that from someone because I hope so… Continue reading 01.28.15 K-LOVE, framers and wrong windows!

01.29.15 Electrician, tub/shower enclosures, attic stair relocation

Thursday, January 29, 2015 - Not a huge amount of construction going on today.  Our electrician, Jerry Joiner, is here a day early (I'll never complain about that) putting up electrical boxes for switches, outlets, lights, etc. I found out from our contractor that he asked for a rush on the new windows so hopefully… Continue reading 01.29.15 Electrician, tub/shower enclosures, attic stair relocation

01.24.15 Cabinets and counter tops on order…. and our new campfire pit!

Friday, January 23, 2015 - The rain Thursday night and this morning was heavy enough to stop the framers from working today.  It was also very cold and windy. Roy and I headed to Hammond for our follow up cortisone shots in my shoulder and his knee.  We always wait at Dr. Chaisson's office far… Continue reading 01.24.15 Cabinets and counter tops on order…. and our new campfire pit!

01.19.15 Nice light yellow storage building

Roy and I shopped for a storage building for some time.  We decided upon the Heartland Rainer Gambrel Wood Storage Building from Lowe's.  It's a 10 x 10 building with a storage loft inside. We bought it as a kit for $998 (plus tax and $65 delivery) instead of paying $2,000 for one already built. … Continue reading 01.19.15 Nice light yellow storage building

Year End Reflections

01.01.15 Reflections on God’s Blessings in 2014

2014 wasn't the travel filled year we would have liked.  We did travel to Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas but that's the extent of our 2014 RV travels.  We stayed longer in our home state than we originally planned because of selling our sticks and bricks house, which finally happened December 3rd, 2014.  Probably near… Continue reading 01.01.15 Reflections on God’s Blessings in 2014

12.26.14 Christmas Day Campfire, trench digging and applying for electricity!!!!

On Christmas day, for the first time in a while, we didn't have to go anywhere. Roy got up early to set the post and put our new mailbox together for Dora.   I wanted a pretty mailbox and he wanted one big enough to hold packages he seems to always be receiving!  Roy found just… Continue reading 12.26.14 Christmas Day Campfire, trench digging and applying for electricity!!!!

11.06.14 Last family shindig at our sticks and bricks house!

Sunday afternoon we had a banana split party with my sister's family and our family. I'm so glad we got to do this one last time before we finalize the house sale. We've had Easter or Mother's Day and Thanksgiving at our house for several years so this is one last family shindig at this… Continue reading 11.06.14 Last family shindig at our sticks and bricks house!
