Father’s Day at Keith and Debbi’s home in Slidell, June 20, 2026
Our 6-year-old great granddaughter Cassidy took a lot of these photos with my camera, and she did a very fine job!
Kid’s Fishing Rodeo Day – Craft Sale at Lakeside RV Park, June 13, 2026
Over 60 kids participated in the Fishing Rodeo and had a wonderful time. The day was sunny and the fishing was good! A few pics of some of those kids fishing are below.
My granddaughter Ella and I had a table where she sold her crafts in the vendor’s area. I cherished all that valuable time spent with my precious first grandchild who is almost 18!
There was a special snowball truck called Sneaux Candy. I’ve never seen a menu like theirs! I got a wedding cake snowball stuffed with vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries and condensed milk. The best thing ever! These next photos are of Sneaux Candy and its creations!
Brother’s Day with Oliver and Stanley
Oliver, Stanley and my husband Kendal are brothers in the photo to the left. Kendal is the oldest, then Oliver and the youngest is Stanley. They spent some time together just the three of them a couple of Saturdays ago. They started out their day going to Gerald Burns’ watermelon patch in a 150-acre field at Stoney Point. They bought 12 large watermelons fresh picked while they were there! We’re really enjoying the ones Kendal got. Then they had a nice visit with their cousin Derwood and Carolyn at their home. They wound up their day at the McDaniel family hunting camp spending some time there before heading home.
America’s 250th Anniversary Golf Cart Parade at Lakeside RV Park, July 4, 2026
Several golf carts, scooters and bicycles participated in the parade. Buddy had a new patriotic outfit, Kendal and I had sparkles on our faces, patriotic glasses and red, white and blue clothing. Our golf cart was decorated top to bottom with America’s 250th Anniversary shiny stuff. Several other residents and guests drove through the park throwing patriotic beads and playing patriotic music.
I painted between 30 and 40 America’s 250th Anniversary rocks for this event. These are some of those rocks. I gave a lot to children at the park and at church and adults at church to hide for me! Some have been found already!
I am whizzing through this and surely hope I didn’t leave anything out! Kendal and I are enjoying our first week in a while with no doctor appointments or other engagements. We are so happy about that!
We just found out that our church has invited the Gospel Quartet, The Perry’s, to sing for us on August 8th. If they are anything like the Quartet we enjoyed this last time, I’ll be sharing with y’all about this next one! If you are interested in attending here’s the info: Tickets are $14 each at the door, Trinity Baptist Church, 42062 Pumpkin Center Road, Hammond, LA. Doors open at 5 pm, concert starts at 6 pm.
