Trinity’s first annual (hopefully there will be many more) Good Friday Worship service at the new outdoors Hammond Pavilion was an amazing worship experience. This was a big endeavor that took many people’s efforts and drew 400 people from all over the area. A lot of our Trinity folks were present, but the majority were what we’d normally call visitors. Many were there who may never have heard about Jesus and the sacrifice He made for us. What an awesome opportunity this was to share the Good News with others.
We sang several Christian songs lead by our Worship Team. 400 voices lifted up in Praise to our Lord outside in downtown Hammond America (that’s what we call Hammond, Louisiana.) What that must have sounded like to all the businesses around us and people strolling through downtown. Not only did they get to hear the singing but they also were definitely blessed by the sermon our Pastor, Avery Dixon, preached about why Good Friday is Good.
What an incredible night in downtown Hammond! Thank you for coming out to worship with us! To God be all of the glory! He has made a way to everlasting life through His divine mercy and through the life, death and resurrection of His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ! ๐
A couple of our friends from our RV park came and sat by us. A couple of other friends that I invited came but I didn’t see them until after the service.
I truly hope we are able to do this again next Good Friday! And I hope you will join us!
